How Saved Workouts Adapt to You
When you choose Generate new sets, reps, and weight, Fitbod uses your latest training data to build a fresh, personalized workout based on your saved template. This gives you the most accurate recommendations for where you are now.
Generate new weight only updates weights while keeping sets and reps intact. Note that this option doesn't support varying rep schemes within an exercise. If you've saved varied reps (like 12, 10, 8), they'll be standardized to a single rep count.
How to Load a Saved Workout
- Tap Swap in the top-right corner of the Workout tab.
- Select Saved Workouts.
- Choose the workout you want to load.
- Select how you'd like the workout to generate:
- Maintain sets, reps, and weight: Repeats the workout exactly as saved.
- Generate new sets, reps, and weight: Updates everything using our algorithm. This is based on your current strength, adjusting sets, reps, and weights for the right challenge and variety.
- Generate new weight only: Keeps your saved sets and reps but adjusts weight based on your current strength. Works best with consistent reps; varying reps (like 12, 10, 8) will be standardized.
How to Delete a Saved Workout
- Go to the Workout tab.
- Tap Swap in the top-right corner.
- Select Saved Workouts.
- Tap the "..." next to the workout you'd like to delete.
- Tap Delete this workout.
Note: This action cannot be undone.
FAQ
Why did my reps change when I used "Generate new weight only"?
This option doesn't support varying rep schemes within a single exercise. If you saved a workout with different reps across sets (like 12, 10, 8 for the same exercise), they'll be standardized to a single rep count when you load it. To keep your exact reps, choose Maintain sets, reps, and weight instead.
Can I plan a week's worth of workouts ahead of time?
Fitbod doesn't have a built-in weekly planner yet, but you can create your own using Saved Workouts:
- Choose the muscle groups you want to train on a specific day.
- Let Fitbod generate a workout.
- Save it with a name like "Monday" or "Push Day."
- Repeat for each training day.
Once you've saved your workouts, you can access them anytime in the Workout tab and load them when you're ready. This method gives you full control over your weekly workout plan.
